GOP budget proposes to privatize medicare, but only after most Tea Partiers are in under current plan

Keep your socialist hands off my Medicare!!

I've said before: if you look hard enough, you'll find a poll to back up whatever position you happen to have on any particular issue. Having disclaimed that, there are times that different polls on a certain subject tend to present the same results. Such is the case with most polls that have bothered to ask the question: Just who are the tea party? Well, for the most part this is their story.

The 18 percent of Americans who identify themselves as Tea Party supporters tend to be Republican, white, male, married and older.  They hold more conservative views on a range of issues than Republicans generally. They are also more likely to describe themselves as “very conservative” and President Obama as “very liberal.”  And while most Republicans say they are “dissatisfied” with Washington, Tea Party supporters are more likely to classify themselves as “angry.”
Well, more than likely,  tea partiers everywhere will be more than happy to hear that  US House budget chairman, Paul Ryan of Wisconsin  has plans to make over 6 trillion dollars worth of cuts over the next 10 years. A big part of Ryan's plan is to eventually privatize Medicare. However, he plans to delay this plan long enough (until 2021) to allow many of his tea party supporters (older, white republicans) to be able to get in under the current Medicare plan. Now that's what I call Tea Party hypocrisy. It's like they kept crying last year: "Keep you're government-controlled health care bill away from my Medicare"! The Loons.
