We're still working on Earth Day, now we need "Space Day" ?

Space Junk: Let's see do you have a bumper for a '69 Dodge Charger?

I was watching the news earlier today and it looks like the current shuttle crew in a heap of trouble. Apparently, there is some space debris heading their way and they just might have to interrupt their activities and take shelter inside their module. According to Fox News, a piece of space junk about 6 inches in diameter, is hurling towards the shuttle at a velocity of 5 miles per second. In a weird coincidence, the debris is left over from a Chinese satellite that was intentionally destroyed in 2003. It looks like the Chinese really have the US in their sights, in more ways than one.
