Bujale!, Probation ?

LAREDO, Texas (AP) — The Texas A&M-International men's basketball program was placed on two years' probation and will be forced to vacate victories from the 2008-09 season as part of sanctions following NCAA  investigation into academic fraud.

The NCAA's infractions committee released a statement Friday that charged the Division II school with "major violations," specifically a "failure to monitor" by both the school and former men's basketball coach Stephone Leary. The fraud involved six athletes from various sports, including men's and women's basketball, women's volleyball, baseball and men's golf, the NCAA said.

Athletics department spokesman Dan Lathey said he was not authorized to say which men's basketball players were involved, or how many games would be forfeited. The Dustdevils finished 9-18 in 2008-09, and Leary was replaced by Shane Rinner.
